Chess board
The Queen’s Gambit official chess board elaborated artisanally by Rechapados Ferrer, using premium walnut and ash sycamore.
This spectacular board is the same one used in chapter 4 (Middle game) of the series, where Beth Harmon participates in the Mexico City tournament in 1966. There she faces for the first time the feared Russian world champion, Vasily Borgov.
Chess pieces
Handcrafted chess pieces made from boxwood of the highest quality.
Inspired by the popular German Knight design. This model became popular in Germany during the 1950s for its simplicity, elegance, and functionality.
Each piece is hand-carved by master craftsmen, making each set a unique and unrepeatable work of art.
They are a type of Staunton pieces, the official design standard used in the best chess tournaments around the world.
Includes:
- Two additional queens for pawn promotion
- Extra weight for greater stability
- Felt pads on the base to protect the board and ensure smooth play
- Practical magnetic closure box for storing the pieces
